Once again I have set new personal record in the SSB Liga - 143 contacts x 80 multipliers = 11.440 points. Favourite 3742 kHz was not free, so I have started CQ few kHz up. Average QSO rate reach nearly 300 QSO/hour (last 10 contacts). Many non-usual entrants gives a call. Second hour poor, rate falls down and QRM went off so I have used 2nd receiver to search and pounce. |

The October's round of SSB Liga Contest will took place on Oct, 4th. OM0AAO will be QRV as usual CQ-ing around 3742kHz and searching with 2nd RX on the FT-1000MP.
... and now attention! The October's round of OM Activity Contest on 11th will give an answer for final result after 12 rounds. Sum best nine of twelve possible rounds is the key. OM0AAO is on 2nd position before this round, but the chances of OM8YL and OM7AB are better!
October 18 and 19 is Worked All Germany Contest. I am planning to join this contest as good preparation which is CQWW DX SSB during the last weekend. It's the best contest of the year and I am very happy to meet again perfect people around the Strumblehead Lightouse - MC0SHL and MW9W. |
I had very good contesting time - the last round of the OM Activity Contest I have won! You can find OM0AAO on the 2nd place in the QRO SSB cathegory now.
Saturday's morning I spent on 80m band - in the OM SSB Contest. Logged 117 contacts x 85 multipliers = 9945 points. QRV only on this band, so I can't compare with guys like OM3PA, OM3PC or OM6KW - one of them will be winner! |

I am pleased to announce that OM0AAO is the best Slovak station in the UBA Conest 2008! I have entered the A80LP cathegory (restricted band!) and got 5th place with 2nd highest QSO number. Thanks to all participations and ON organsation for nice contest, CU next year again! |

OM0AAO will be QRV in the OM SSB Contest on Saturday, Sep 20. Sure You can find me on the 80m band and if I can erect once again 160m inverted L antenna, I will be QRV on both bands. On 80m band I will use the Heathkit power amplifier, around 600W. On top band I have only 100W from TCVR. Good luck! |
